These referrals, however, have not resulted in any action, and have remained at Council level ever since. I am forwarding these items to you with a recommendation that they be filed, as there has been no action taken on these matters with none forthcoming. Please note that these are all matters that originated from previous Council terms. Thank you for your attention in this matter. Att. BILL/YEAR TITLE 1. Bill 493: Initiates a charter amendment allowing the Hawaii County Council to (1991) execute contracts for services necessary to the Council's Public Policy Formulation Role. Re: Comm. 2892 Intr. by: Mrs. Hale Referred back to IGRC: September 20, 1991 Note: 1) IGR (Inter-governmental Relations) Committee referred this bill to Corporation Counsel for opinion if law, based on Hawaii's population of 100,000 people gives the Council the exemption to execute contracts for services to the Council's Public Policy Formulation - 10/08/91. 2) No word from IGR or Corporation Counsel on next action; no report for Council II. Bill 584: Amends the Zoning Code, Chapter 25, of the Hawaii County Code, as (1992) amended, relating to Use Permits and Additional Golf Course Criteria. Re: Comm. 3379 Intr. by: Mr. Domingo IstReading: April 15, 1992 Referred to Planning Department and Planning Commission: May 4, 1992 Note: 1) No response from Planning Department or Planning Commission III. Bill 123: Amends Chapter 25 of the Hawaii County Code 1983, as amended, (1993) relating to Zoning. PC Rept. 101: Recommends the approval of the Kaumana Country Club, Ine.'s (C-87.01) proposed community benefit assessment program. (1994) Deferred on Council: March 23, 1994 Note: 1) Mr. De Lima moved for the deferral to await for a reply from Kaumana Country Club's Board of Directors on the community assessment program V. Bill 41: Authorizing the issuance of thirty million dollars of general obligation (1995) bonds of the County of Hawaii for the purposes of financing various public improvements of the County of Hawaii; fixing the form, denominations, and certain other details of such bonds and providing for their sale; and authorizing the issuance and sale of a like principal amount of general obligation bond anticipation notes in anticipation of the issuance and sale of such bonds and appropriating funds for the costs of issuance of such bonds.
