RESOLUTION NO. 134 09
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has requested funds for the
purchase of miscellaneous recreational equipment: a volleyball system; foosball table; pool
table; and a badminton system, including related supplies and accessories, to be used at
Pi`ihonua Gym/Carvalho Park; and
WHEREAS, the equipment and supplies will improve the recreational facility, and
provide a variety of activities for use by the public, thereby promoting a healthy lifestyle and
providing supervised social activities; and
WHEREAS, the equipment will be available for use by youth and adults alike; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated
to the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used towards the purchase of the equipment,
and related supplies and accessories for Pi`ihonua Gym/Carvalho Park; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
