COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 135 ®~ <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Waiakea Clock, often referred to as the Tsunami Clock, is an <br />important landmark for Hilo and is featured in guide books, maps and brochures for visitors to <br />Hawaii Island; and <br />WHEREAS, the Pacific Tsunami Museum is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, <br />which has purchased a new sign for the site that matches the signs that are installed throughout <br />the East Hawaii Historic Tsunami Sites program; and <br />WHEREAS, the sign needs to be installed and the Tsunami Clock itself taken down, <br />repaired and repainted; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated ±o <br />the Department of Research and Development to fund the refurbishment of the Tsunami Clock <br />and the installation of a new sign by the Pacific Tsunami Museum; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION <br />OUT AND PROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />GENERAL: <br />$1,500 <br />Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief <br />$1,500 <br />010.161.516].60 Department of Research & Development $1,500 <br />Tourism Promotion, Misc Contract Services <br />(Pacific Tsunami Museum/Refurbish Tsunami <br />Clock & Install Sign) <br />
