COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14® 09 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED RUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Hilo High School Project Graduation provides a safe, secure, and <br />supervised celebration alternative to the traditional graduation parties that involve underage <br />drinking, illegal substance use, and unsupervised late-night partying that normally results in <br />drinking and driving, all of which pose a hazard to the community; and <br />WHEREAS, approximately 300 graduates will attend the 2009 Hilo High School <br />Project Graduation, which will be held at the Hilo Yacht Club on Friday, June 5, 2009, from <br />9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning; and <br />WHEREAS, a goal of the Department of Liquor Control is to support youth programs <br />which promote alcohol- and drug-free events, including Project Grad Night activities; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Liquor Control to be used towards the support of youth programs; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: GENERAL: <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $500 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $500 <br />CREDITF,D TO: <br />010.25 ] .5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $500 <br />Public Programs, Misc.
