Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Glenn Y. Kuwaye
of Hilo to the Hawaii County Water Commission to replace
C. Kenneth Sowden of Hilo, who resigned to accept the position
of Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation.
Mr. Kuwaye is a life-time resident of Hilo and has been
employed by Allied Aggregates Corporation since 1972, and
presently serves as its president. He states that he has no
affiliation with any political party.
If approved, Mr. Kuwaye will serve the balance of the unexpired
term, which will end on December 31, 2001. Should the Council
need further information regarding this nomination, you may
call me at your convenience.
