Vehicle Tax (Ramseyer Format not Applied to Certain Material) ~+ '"~'
Subsection 24-18(b), as proposed for amendment in Bill 71 reads:
"(b) Effective rT~^^.•R•a:7='-.-'~~ July 1, 2009, any vehicle
weight tax imposed by section 24-17 for any year and not
paid when due, shall become delinquent and a penalty of
[ten-perEent] $8 for vehicles taxed at the passenger car rate
and $20 for vehicles taxed at the commercial vehicle rate
shall be added to, and become a part of, the tax collected."
Please note that the phrase "the commercial vehicle rate" as it appears above should be underlined to
indicate a proposed addition of language to the aforementioned section of the Hawaii County Code.
Subsection 24-18(b) does not currently contain that phrase.
This memo is intended to suffice as notice of the lack of applied Ramseyer format to the material
proposed for addition to the Hawaii County Code; no amendment is proposed. Though not
underlined to indicate material proposed for addition this phrase will be incorporated into the
Hawaii County Code, should Bill 71 become an ordinance. Ramseyer format is not required to add
or delete material to or from the Code; it is an illustrative tool used to facilitate the legislative
process.
