The State Department of Health has indicated that $7,500,000 of the ARRA funds will be made available to the County of Hawai'i as a zero interest, zero fee loan with principal forgiveness. To be eligible for these funds, projects must be ready to go and meet the required timelines and it is believed the projects listed above can meet the requirements, however, as with any project, a number of things could cause a delay for any of these projects. At this time, the available ARRA funds will be expended on the Komohana Heights LCC Replacement and Honokaa LCC Replacement projects with the other projects listed as alternates should either of these projects encounter any delays. Due to the strict deadlines associated with the ARRA funds, it is our intention to maximize the utilization of these funds by directing the funds to any combination of the above listed projects based on project readiness. 3 Comm.
