RESOLUTION NO. l69 09
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND
FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Office of Aging is responsible for developing a
comprehensive system of services for older persons in Hawaii County; and
WHEREAS, as part of that duty, the Office of Aging promotes healthy aging/lifestyle and the
prevention of chronic diseases; and
WHEREAS, special activities, social events, and interaction axe good for the spirit and overall
mental health of our Kupuna; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the
Office of Aging to help fund the Pahoa Senior Club and Alu Like Kupuna Club, which provides
transportation, education, and recreation activities for our Kupuna, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC-Contingency Relief $2,000
CREDITED TO:
010.411.5411.02 Office of Aging $2,000
Office of Aging OCE, Misc. Charges
(Pahoa Senior Club-$1,000 and Alu Like
Kupuna Club-$1,000)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the County Executive on Aging and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
