A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, the Stanley Costales Waiakea-Uka Gym is heavily used by the
community for sporting events, instructional classes, and practices; and
WHEREAS, basketball is a year-round sport at this facility and is provided for the
youth through leagues, camps, and practices; and
WHEREAS, an adjustable, portable basketball system is needed for children eight-
years-old and under so that they, too, can enjoy the sport; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated
to the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of two portable basketball
systems for the Stanley Costales Waiakea-Uka Gym; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
