RESOLUTION NO. 1~3 09
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, there are many traffic calming improvements that need to be
implemented in Council District 2; and
WHEREAS, these improvements include, but are not limited to street lights, smart
signs, traffic calming devices; traffic control mechanisms, guardrails, and other necessary and
appropriate improvements; and
WHEREAS, the procedures for the procurement and installation of these
improvements is a complicated and lengthy process; and
WHEREAS, utilizing the mechanisms of a Capital Budget account will provide the
Department of Public Works sufficient time to properly follow these procedures; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated
to the Department of Public Works for traffic calming improvements; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC-Contingency Relief $25,000
CREDITED TO:
010.801.5801.33 Department of Public Works $25,000
Transfer to Cap Proj Fund-G
(To be allotted to Council District 2 Traffic
Calming Improvements - 110.299.5292.70)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
