SUBJECT: Amendment to Ordinance No. 08-79, as amended, Relating to Public
Improvements and Financing thereof for Fiscal Year July 1, 2008 to
June 30, 2009 (Discretionary Projects - Council District 2)
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 08-79, as amended, the Public
Improvements and Financing Budget, which appropriates $35,241.65 to the Department of Parks
and Recreation for Discretionary Projects - Council District 2. Funds for this project will be
provided from Council District 2 Contingency Relief account.

RE: Bill No. 86 An Ordinance Amending Ordinance NO. 08-79, As Amended,
Relating To Public Improvements And Financing Thereof For The Fiscal Year
July 1, 2008 To June 30, 2009
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
