Re: Request for Representation of former Hawaii County Chief of
Police Lawrence K. Mahuna; George K. Young v. State of Hawaii,
et. al. Civil No. CV08-00540 DAE/KSC
Pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(4), Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended, we
request attorney-client confidential discussion in executive session to consult
with the County Council on questions and issues pertaining to its powers, duties,
privileges, immunities and liabilities regarding the legal representation of former
Hawaii County Chief of Police Lawrence K. Mahuna in the above-entitled matter.
We ask that this case be placed on the council's agenda at its earliest
convenience.
