RE: Bill 77, Relating to Motor Vehicle Driver's Permit and License Fees -Ramseyer
Format
Please note that Bill 77 contains an amendment to subsection (k) of section 24-20 that should read as
follows:
"[(-k~]~ Duplicate license[,]/ ep rmit, [~] ~6."
Bill 77 does not indicate that "/permit," is provided as an amendment to the existing language of
subsection 24-20(k).
This memorandum is provided as notice, not a proposed amendment to Bill 77. Ramseyer format
does not authorize or legitimize amendments. Ramseyer format is an illustrative tool that, combined
with the prefatory language, indicates proposed amendments. The language as provided though not
underlined to illustrate material to be added would effectively amend subsection 24-20(k), should
Bi1177 be enacted.
