Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development, to which was referred
Communication 204, reports as follows:
Communication 204, from Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated March 13, 2009, requests
confirmation and approval of the appointment of Randall M. Kurohara as the County of Hawaii
Director of Research and Development.
Several Council members expressed their support and confidence in Mr Kurohara's abilities and
experience.
All committee members present agreed that it would not be necessary for Mr. Kurohara to appear
before the full Council for final confirmation.
Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development is in accordance with the
purpose and intent of Communication 204 and recommends confirmation of the appointment of
Randall M. Kurohara as the County of Hawaii Director of Research and Development.
