ORDINANCE NO. 9~ 2~
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 (TRAFFIC SCHEDULE), OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO TRAFFIC
REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280,
schedule 28 (NO parking at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, of
the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended by deleting the
following item:
[(67) Kekuanaoa Street, north side, within
thirty feet eastward of the main driveway on the
Hilo Motors, Ltd. lot located at the northeast
corner of Kekuanaoa Street and Kilauea Avenue.]
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280,
schedule 28 (No parking at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, of
the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended by adding the
following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
Kekuanaoa Street, north side, beginning at a
point two hundred fifteen feet west of the
private roadway opposite Honu Street and
extending four hundred sixty-seven feet in the
westerly direction to Kilauea Avenue.
~ Kekuanaoa Street, south side, beginning at
Kilauea Avenue and extending two hundred
fourteen feet in the easterly direction.
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-284,
schedule 32 (Two hour parking areas), subsection (c) South Hilo, of
the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended by adding the
following to be appropriately numbered. and to read as follows:
~ Kekuanaoa Street, those marked parking stalls
between Kilauea Avenue and Honu Street.
SECTION 4. Chapter 24, article 10, division 7, section 24-291,
schedule 39 (2 hour parking meter zones), subsection (c) South
Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended by
deleting the following item:
[(9) Kekuanaoa Street, between Honu Lane and
Kilauea Avenue.]
SECTION 5. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material
is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets,
bracketed material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 6. If any provision of this ordinance, or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severableo.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
