Chair Yoshimoto and Members of the Council:
This letter is written in support of the confirmation of Ms. Leithead-Todd as Director of
Planning for the County of Hawaii. I have known Bobby Jean for over thirty years and
have observed her record of public service to this County. She is well qualified for the
position of Planning Director considering her education and the extent of experience she
has in County government. Having served with her on the Ethics Commission, I have
had the opportunity to work closely with her and am impressed with her ability to
observe the facts and formulate decisions. She has very good leadership skills and is
ideally suited for this position.
It is with a great deal of pleasure that I would urge you to approve the confirmation of
Bobby Jean Leithead-Todd as Planning Director of the County of Hawaii. She will serve
the people of this County well.
