Subject: Support for Resolution 88-09 Complete Paving Kohala Side of SaddleRoad
Importance: High
This is in support of Resolution 88-09 to complete the paving of the west side of Saddle Road.
I am a resident of Wailei Ranch and travel on Saddle Road at least twice a day. The road from the 45 mile
marker down is in critical need of repaving. The road from the 45 mile marker to the 49 mile marker is
especially dangerous. The road is narrow and severely rutted with potholes, especially on the edges. Oncoming
cars are often in the lane you are driving in because they are avoiding the bad road surface on the edges.
Often, there is fog that minimizes visibility on this area of the road... increasing the danger.
Please do whatever you can to expedite the paving of Saddle Road from the 45 mile marker makai to the
highway (the upper road) to improve the safety for all who travel there.
Thank you very much for time and consideration.
Respectfully Submitted,
