Aloha Mr.Ycshimoto,
Thank you for the opportunity to address this letter and to apologize for my
absence at this very important confirmation hearing. Due to a family emergency
in the Philippines I will have to escort my 87 year old mother in-law to visit her ill
sister. This could be her last trip home to visit the family and it will be a first time
for me and my wife. We are looking forward to meeting our family there as
families come first.
As a potential planning commissioner 4 is an honor to serve the people of the Big
Island. The planning is key to the future of our community. Proper planning is the
way to address the concerns of East and West Hawaii. And having a open and
understanding view point will help expedite the process and allow the future be
shaped in a way that would be beneficial to all involved and help better the lives
of all the people on our island home. That is my goal to help the process take its
course and allow all view points be heard and addressed with the understanding
that at times we can agree to disagree. Having an open mind and trusting the
people's feelings and concerns that way we can come to a win win solution. I
pride myself as respectful, a good listener and a problem solver, those that know
me know that I am not a confrontational kind of guy.
If I can be of any assistants to you or any of the rest of the County Council please
don't hesitant to call me. I am honest, caring, and always looking for the best for
all the people living hear. I consider the County of Hawaii as a very special place
a place where it is safe and healthy for raising our most valuable resources, our
children.
I am willing to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. I will be
away until April 23i° when I return I would be willing to meet and answer and
confirm your decision as the correct one. I thank you in advance for your
consideration and honor to serve with you on the Planning Commission. °U
