transmitting a Report of Transfers Authorized showing
transfers made from May 1 through May 15, 1997, and
copies of the approved transfer forms.
Comm. 309: RESOLUTION INCREASING THE TIME ELEMENT AND
(Res. 89) REALLOCATION OF FACILITY MAINTENANCE & SERVICE
WORKER I 1/2T TO BUILDING MAINTENANCE REPAIRER FOR
HOOLULU PARK COMPLEX
From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated
April 29, 1997, transmitting the above resolution. By
increasing the time element from half-time to
fulltime, an enhanced preventive maintenance program
can be instituted to eliminate breakdowns and the
closure of facilities to a minimum.
Comm. 310: RESOLUTION CREATING A PARK CARETAKER I 2/5T FOR THE
(Res. 90) PUNA DISTRICT
From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated
April 29, 1997, transmitting the above resolution.
By creating one Park Caretaker I 2/5T position for the
Puna District, maintenance on weekends and holidays
can be provided.

Comm. 311: RESOLUTION INCREASING TI::E ELEMENT AND REALLOCATION
(Res. 91) OF BUILDING CUSTODIAN I ~/2T TO PARK CARETAKER I
- NORTH KOHALA DISTRICT
From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated
April 29, 1997, transmitting the above resolution. By
reallocating the Building Custodian I 1/2T position to
Park Caretaker I, and increasing the time element from
half-time to fulltime,•weekend and holiday coverage
for restroom sanitation and rubbish pickup will be
accomplished.
Comm. 312: RESOLUTION CREATING WATER SAFETY OFFICER POSITIONS FOR
(Res. 92) HONOLII AND AHALANUI BEACH PARKS
From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated
April 29, 1997, transmitting the above resolution. By
creating one Water Safety Officer II 3/lOT position
for Honolii Beach Park, and one Water Safety
Officer II 2/5T position for Ahalanui Beach Park,
seven-day coverage, eight-hour shifts can be provided.
Comm. 313: RESOLUTION CREATING A POWER MOWER OPERATOR POSITION
(Res. 93) FOR THE KONA DISTRICT
From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated
April 29, 1997, transmitting the above resolution. A
Power Mower Operator position would assist in
maintaining facilities to an acceptable standard in
the entire North and South Kona Districts, which
includes eight parks.

(Res. 94) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER
INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A STATEWIDE MARIJUANA
ERADICATION GRANT;
(Res. 95) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER
INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
PURSUANT TO HRS 96-7, FOR A STATEWIDE NARCOTICS TASIf
FORCE GRANT; AND
(Res. 96) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER
INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, PURSUANT TO
HRS 46-7 D A R E /DOE GRANT

May 6, 1997, transmitting the above resolutions.
Funds have already been appropriated for this fiscal
year.

8:30 p.m. and Thursday, June 12, at 8:30 p.m. All Committee meetings
can be seen on Sunday, June 15, at 9 a.m.
