Comm. 286.2: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 5-1.0.8, AND
(Bill 73) CHAPTER 21, ARTICLE 2, SECTION 21-5 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(Draft 2) (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO THE USE OF A TENT OR A
STRUCTURE OF SIMILAR TYPE AS A TEMPORARY RESIDENCE FOR A PERIOD
NOT TO EXCEED THREE YEARS, PROVIDING THERE IS ADEQUATE
SANITATION AND AN ACTIVE BUILDING PERMIT (allows owners of property with a
district classification of (A) Agricultural, (FA) Family Agricultural, (IA) Intensive
Agricultural or (RA) Residential and Agricultural the exception for a period of three years
from the date of the building permit's issuance)
