Re: Amending the Bond Authorization Ordinance
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance that amends Ordinance 08-106, authorizing the
issuance of general obligation bonds for financing public improvements. The purpose of
this measure is to amend the Ordinance's attachment noted as Exhibit A, Draft 2 by
replacing it with a new exhibit labelled as Exhibit A, Draft 3. This amendment to the exhibit
is to adjust funding for various projects based on actual needs that differ from the original
estimates in the bond ordinance. One new project is added, Kealakehe WWTP Sludge
Removal, because it needs to be done concurrently with the WWTP Aeration Upgrade.
There is no change to the total amount of the bond authorization.
