It is my pleasure to submit for your confirmation my nominations to the Kona Community Development
Plan Action Committee in accordance with the requirements of the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 16.
This group of dedicated and committed community representatives constitutes an excellent working group
that will serve Kona residents well. The Action Committee nominations are:

previously transmitted nomination request regarding these appointments. The Council has 45 days to
confirm or reject the nominations from the date of receipt of this letter pursuant to Charter section 134(1).
At this time, I also formally request that this matter be waived from the Committee to the full Council for
consideration at the June 2 Council meeting. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel

Action Committee.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Planning Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval be granted and the
matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Planning Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
