Comm. 358: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO
(Res. 178-09) NEGOTIATIONS FOR ACQUISITION OF TMK(s) 1-3-1:74 AND 1-3-1:83, KNOWN
AS THE PAHOA STEAM VENTS, IN THE DISTRICT OF PUNA PURSUANT TO
CHAPTER 2 ARTICLE 36, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION,
AS AMENDED) (with funds from the Geothermal Relocation and Community Benefits
Program)
From Councilmember Emily I. Naeole, dated May 18, 2009, transmitting the above
resolution.
Recommends adoption of Res. 178-09, as amended to Draft 2.

Hoffmann, Naeole, Onishi, Yoshimoto and Vice Chair Ikeda.
Noes: None.
Absent: Committee Member Chair Yagong.
Comm. 372: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE ON 08-106 OF THE COUNTY OF
(Bill 92) HAWAII, PERTAINING TO THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION
BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING VARIOUS PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS DESCRIBED THEREIN. {amends the Ordinance's attachment
noted as Exhibit A, Draft 2, by replacing it with a new exhibit which adjusts funding
for various projects based on actual needs that differ from the estimates in the
original bond ordinance; adds a new project, Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant
(WWTP) Sludge Removal, because it needs to be done concurrently with the WWTP
Aeration Upgrade. There is no change to the total amount of the bond authorization. }
From Finance Director Nancy E. Crawford, dated May 20, 2009, transmitting the
above bill.
Recommends passage of Bill 92 on first reading.
