Subject: Make Pao and Kaiholena number one and two priority for purchase with 2% Funds
Aloha To Our Council Members,
I write to implore you all to make the properties Make Pao and Kaiholena number one and two on your
priority list for purchase with county Open Space / 2% Funds.
Preserving the Kohala Coast is a very high priority for us and our fellow members of the Sustainable Kohala
group - of which I am a member of the Steering Community.
As a long term resident of North Kohala, these lands are precious to me and our community as places of great
cultural and historical significance and natural beauty and these lands must be preserved and keep available
to the community for generations to come.
Also - thank you all for supporting Councilman Hoffman's recent bill opposing HB 1226.
Mahalo for listing to our voice and the voices of the people of North Kohala and for your efforts to protect the
aina and the people of Hawaii Island,
