Have you ever wondered why there is so much distrust in
government?
Green Harvest is just one example of the problem. Over the
years thousands of folks from all walks of life have testified
before this body on this issue. The consistent message from
your constituents is STOP GREEN HARVEST!
I myself have testified on average three times a year for 23
years. That's 70 times counting today. That's ounce for every
journey I have taken around the sun.
Absolutely no science has shown that there has been any
benefit at all from this program. It has however at great
expense, expanded the POLICE STATE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT.
There is way more criminal activity executed by the drug cops
than by most growers. Green harvest is an extremely corrupt
program with no oversight and should be ended if only to
COMM. No. 1091-19

restore the peace and tranquility of our island home and a lot
more confidence in government.
How do you folks justify your job, when your job is to activate
the will of the people? We the people have asked repeatedly for
an independent program review and are still to this day
waiting.
Currently, our most effective method has been applied at the
voting booth. Puna has set the example for this, and other
districts are now preparing to follow.
