Ordinance No. 29
Be It Ordained by the Board oY
Supervisors of the County of Hawaii:
Section 1. That all County Officers
travelling to or from the County $eat,
or to any District other than their
own 1n the performance of their offici-
al duties, shall hereby be allowed as
travelling expenses, mileage at the
rate of 10 cents per mile, going and
coming, excepting in cases of emer-
gency, in which case, the expenses in-
` tarred under such circumstances will
be Paid by the Board of Supervisors
according to its discretion.
All other expenses, such as for
board and lodging, shall be personal
expenses to be paid and borne by the
County Officers, Deputy Sheriffs, or
Police incurring the same out of their
own private funds, and for which the
County will not in any way be held
responsible.
Section 2. All Ordinances and parts
of Ordinances and all Resolutions
contrary hereto are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and
after the date of its approval.

I hereby certify that the foregoing
Ordinance was regularly considered
at a meeting of the Board of Sup-
ervisors of the County of Hawaii,
held at the County Seat upon the
4th day of February, A. D. 1909, and
upon being put to vote said Ordinance
was adopted by a majority of the Sup-
ervisors at said meeting.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF Z have
hereunto set my hand and affixed the
seal of the County of Hawaii upon this
4th day of February, A. D. 1909.
