Ordinance No. 33
Be it ordained by the Board of Sup-
ervisors of the County of Hawafl:
Section 1. All the County Officers
travelling to or from the County Seat,
or to any other district other than
their own in the performance of their
official drzties, shall hereby be allowed
as travelling expenses, mileage at the
rate of ten (10) cents and not to ex-
ceed twenty (20) cents a mile going
and coming except in cases of ewer-
gency, in which case, the expenses in-
curred under such circumstances will
be paid by the Board of Supervisors
according to its discretion.
Provided, that to receive mileage
above ten (10) cents per mile, such
County Officer shall file an itemized
account with the proper vouchers and
receipts attached thereto showing the
actual amount incurred or expended.
County officers and their clerks,
who are required by law to attend
the terms of the Circuit Courts in this
County away from the County Seat or
such other places on special business
pertaining to the County, shall be al-
lowed in addition to their mileage,
their reasonable expenses for Board
and Lodging, not to exceed Two Dol-
lars and Fifty Cents ($2.50) per day,
and for which vouchers shall be filed
attached to said claims or statements,
showing the number of days and the
actual outlay incurred or expended.
Police officers who can avail them-
selves of transportation by railroad
will not be allowed mileage but will
be allowed the actual cost of second
class transportation.
Secttan 2. That Ordinance No. 29,
adopted by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Hawaii on the 4th
day of February, A. D. 1909, is hereby
repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall
take effect from and after the date of
its adoption.

ervisors of the County of Hawaii,
held at the County Seat upon the
6th day of May, A. D. 1909, and
upon being put to vote said Ordinance
was adopted by a majority of the Sup-
ervisors at said meeting.
