Ordinance No. 46
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
FIRE LIMITS FOR THE CITY OF
HILO.
Be It ordained by the people of the
County of Hawaii:
Section 1. That part of the City of
Hilo as hereinafter bounded and de-
scribed shall be known as the fire
limits of the said City of Hilo.
Beginning at a point on the bank
of Wailuku river 100 feet from the
west side of Pitman street extended;
thence running parallel to and 100
feet from the west side of said Pit-
man street to a point 100 feet
from the south side of Church
street; thence running parallel to
and 100 feet from the south side of
said Church street to a point 100 feet
from the southwest side of Volcano
Street ;thence running parallel to and
100 feet from the southwest side of
said Volcano street to a point 7.00 feet
from the south side of Ponahawai
street; thence running parallel to and
100 feet from the said south side of
said Ponahawai St. to the Hilo Bay;
thence following along the shore line
of said Hilo Bay and the said Wailuku
river to the point of beginning.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall
take effect fifteen days from and after
the date of its approval.

I hereby certify that the foregoing
Ordinance was regularly considered
at a meeting of the Board of Sup-
ervisors of the County of Hawaii,
held at the County Seat upon the
16th day of December, A. D. 1912, and
upon being put to vote said Ordinance
was adopted by a majority of the Sup-
ervisors at said meeting.
