Ordnnance No. 54
AN ORDINANCE SUB-DIVIDING
THE GENERAL FIRE LIMITS FOR
THE CITY OF HILO, AS ESTAB-
LISHED BY ORDINANCE NO. 46,
INTO THREE RESPECTIVE DIS-
TRICTS.
Be it ordained by the Board of Sup-
ervisors in and for the County of Ha-
waii.
Section 1. That the boundaries of
district number one (1) of the General
Fire Limits of the City of Hilo shall be
as follows:
Beginning at a point on the bank of
the Wailuku river on the center line of
Pitman street extended;
Thence running southerly an the
center line of Pitman street to a point
in the center of King street;
Thence running northeasterly on the
center line of King street to a point at
the wateredge of Hilo Bay;
Thence following northerly along
the shore line of said Hilo Bay and tihe
bank of said Wailuku river to the
point of beginning.
Ser.,tion 2. That the boundaries of
district number two (2) of the Gen-
era] Fire Limits of the City of Hilo
shall b^ as follows:
Beginning at a point at the intersec-
tion of c^nter lines of King street and
Pitman street
Thence running southerly on the
center line of Pitman street to a point
in the center of Pitman street and one
hundred (100) Best from the south side
of King street,
Thence running northeasterly paral-
lel to and one hundred (100) feet from
the south side of King street to a point
one hundred (100) feet Prom the south-
west side of Bridge street;
Thence running southerly parallel
to and one hundred (100) Peet from
the southwest Bide of Bridge street to
a. point in the center line of Richard-
son street;
Thence running northeasterly on the
center line of Richardson street to a
point in the center of Bridge street;
Thence running southerly on the
center line of Bridge street to a point
in the center of Volcano street;
Thence running southerly on the
center line of Volcano street to a point
on the center line of the Hilo Rail-
road Company's Right-of-Way spur
track to the Hawaii Mill;
Thence running easterly on the cen-
ter line of the Hilo Railroad Com-
pany's Right-of-Way directly across
Mooheau Park to a point at thepoint
of the wateredge of the Hilo Bay;
Thence following northerly along
the shore line of said Hilo Bay to a
point on the center line of King street;
Thence running southwesterly on
the center line of King street to the
point of beginning.
Section 3. That the boundaries of
district number three (3) of the gen-
eral Fire Limits of the City of Hilo
shall be as follows:
Beginning at a paint on the hank of
the Wailuku river one hundred Q00)
feet from the west side of Pitman
street extended;
Thence running southwesterly pa-
rallel to and one hundred (100) feet
from the west side of said Pitman
street to a point one hundred Q00>
feet from the south side of Church
street;
Thence running easterly parallel ~
and one hundred (100) feet from the
south side of said Church street to a
paint one hundred (100) feet from
the southwesC side of Volcano Street;
Thence running southwesterly par-
allel to and one hundred (100) feet
from the southwest side of Bald Vol-
cano street to a Point one hundred
(100) feet from the south side of Po-
nahawai street ;
Thence running easterly along the
TZilo Railroad Company's Right-of-
Way to the center oP Volcano street
Thence runniiZg northwesterly al-
ong the center o£ Volcano street to
the center of Bridge street;
Thence running northwesterly on
the center line of Fridge street to the
center of Richardson street;
Thence rur_ning southwesterly on
the center line of Richardson street
to a point in the center of Richard-
son strut one hundred (100) feet
from the southwest side of Bridge
street;
Thence runt-,+ng northwesterly psr-
alle] to and one hundred (100) feat
from the southwest side of. Bridge
street to a Point one hundred (100)

Thence running southwesterly par-

from the south side of King street to

Thence running westerly along the
bank of the Wailuku river do the point
of beginning
Section 4. This ordinance shall
take effect fifteen (15) days from and
after the date of its approval.

Ordinance was regularly considered
at a meeting of the Board of Sup-
ervisors of the County of .Hawaii,
held at the County Seat upon the
upon being put to vote said Ordinance
5th day of February, A. D. 1914, and
was adopted by a majority of the Sup-
ervisors at said meeting.
