_ THE EXHIBITING OF MOVING
PICTURES OF AN EDUCATIONAL
• OR BIBLICAL CHARACTER IN
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII ON
SUNDAYS, AND PROVIDING RE-
STRICTIONS THEREON.
Be 1t ordained by the Board of Sup-
' ervlsora of the County oY Hawati:
... -~ Section 1. Any person having first
paid the requisite license that is pro-
vided under Section 2077 of the Re-
vised Laws of Hawafi oY 1915, ae am-
.• ended by Act 223 of the Session Laws
~s oY 1915, for conducting a Sunday mov-
• ~ •~'<~. ing picture show, and who shall desire
,' tq exhibit to the public in the County
oP Hawaii on Sunday any moving pic-
' tore ftlm or films, shall make applica-
lion for a perxnit to the Sheriff oP the
- County of Hawaii, or to the De-
, ~ ~ poly Sheriff of the District with-
~ in which the said moving pic-
~ lure film or films are to be
exhibited. The said application shall

~~ be in writing, shall set forth the name
" and address of the applicant, the oc-
' cupatios of the ap~llcant, the los~-
,* lion and character oP the building 1n
' which said film or films are to be
shown, and the name and character ut
th¢ said ftlm or films.

8ection 2. No film or films other
than those of an educational or bibll-
eal character shall be exhibited at any
Sunday moving picture show.
Section 3. In case any person hold-
' ing a permit for a Sunday moving pic-
" lure show shall exlilbft any 91m m~
films nol of an educational or blblfca'_
character, he shall hot be entitled
thereafter for a period of two months
to such permit, and ahal] be guilty cf
a misdemeanor punishable by a fine
of not more than One Hundred ($1.00)

Section 4. The Sheriff or any Dc-

applicant to exhibit to him Such film
or films which the appheant may de-
sire to exhibit at a Sunday moviug
picture show, whereby it may be
ascertained tchether such film or films
are oP an edreational or biblical ohnr-
acter.
« Section 5. In case any person hold-
ing a permit for a Sunday moving plc-
tore show shall exhibit any film or
films not of an educational or biblical
character, the Deputy Sheriff of the
District in which such film nr films
shall have been exhibited shall forth-
with notify in writing the Deputy
Sheriffs of the other DistrioCa of the
~ ~ ~ County of Hawaii concerning the
same.
Section 6. This ordinance shall
~ take effect from and after the date oP
