AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORD&
NANCE NO. 63 KNOWN AS THE.
"SPEED ORDINANCE;' BY AM-
ENDING SECTION 8 THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS OF THECOUN-
TY OF HAWAII:
Section 1. Section 8 of Ordinance
No. 63 known as the "Speed Ordi-
nance;" is hereby amended to read
as follows:

OF THIS ORDINANCE
Section 8. Nothing contained in
any of the provisions oY this ordi-
nance ae to epeciflc rates of speed
shall apply to any oY the following
vehicles, to-wit:
(a) Vehicles which run only on
rails and tracks.
(b) Vehicles, wagons, trucks and
apparatus under the control oP the
Fire Department and all the vehicles
under the control of the Police
Department oP the County of Ha-
waii, and ambulancee, public or
private, while such vehicles are iq
the actual performance oY duty dar-
ing emergencies.
(c) Duly licensed-physicians shall
be exempt, in cases oP emergency
only, upon complying with the con-
ditions of this ordinance. The ve-
hicle driven by them shall dlaplay,

one in front and one in the rear oY
euch vehicle, the sign of the "Green
Crone," the same to be not lees thaq

tional width, painted in green on a
white background.
These exemptions shall not be caa-
etrued to permit reckless driving
at any time.
Section 2. Th1e Ordinance shall
take effect from and after the date
oY its approval.
