An Ordinance to amend Ordinance
No. 55 of the County of Hawaii, en-
titlyd An Ordinance to Amend Ordin-
ance No. 51, of the County of Ha-
waii entitled "An Ordinance Reln ling

ation, Repair and Rcm ova] oP Build-
ings and other Structures in the City

Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance
No. 55 of the County of Ilawaii is
hereby amended by ch a.n grog the sub-

trrior floors, partitions, etc., con-

parts, except the roof eovering of
buildings which shall be of corrugat-
ed iron or other non-rombustihle ma.-
torial. This clussihcalion shall ap-
ply to any Third-Class building
erected within the bonnda.ry of Dis-

No. 55 of [he County oP Hawaii is
hereby amended so as to read us fnl-

Section F. All walla of wood-frame

shall be of redwood. No uncovered
studding shall be allowed against. the
wall of an adjoining building or struc-
ture. ONE-STORY BFJILDINO: The
sills shall not be less than 4" x 6",
and the etuddings shall not be less
than 2" x 4". T~~'O-STORY BIIII,D-
ING: The sills shall not bo lees than
C' x 6"; the first story stud dings shall
not be less than 2" x 6"; and the
second story studding shall not be
less than 2" x 4".

hereby amended by adding thereto a
new section, to bo known as Section
FA, and to read as follows:
Section 6A. All buildings shall
have either concrete, brick or stone
foundation walls to extend entirely
around said buildings; said founda-
tion walls in no case shall be less
than one foot above ground level
and where buildings are erected on
the street line the fomidation walls
shall extend up to the street level.
Section 3. Ordinance No. 55 ie
hereby amended by adding thereto a
new section to be known as Sectimt
16A, and to read as follows:
PUBLIC GARAGES. Section 1fA.
All public ga ragas construoted within
the limits of Districts Nos. I, 2 and 3
shall have floors made of concrete,
with concrete wash dam's connected
with the sewer or approved drainage;
each of the said garages so cmistruct-
ed shall have at least one sanitary
patented wuter closet.
Suction 6. This Ordinance shall
take effect 30 days Prom the date of
its approval.
