Ordinance No. 78 AN ORDINANCE Regulating the Parking of Motor Cars or Vehicles on Kamehameha Avenue in the City of Hilo, and Lights on the same while standing in the Parking Strip. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: Section 1, Every motor car or vehicle standing in the Parking strip on Kamehameha Avenue in the City of Hilo, shall be placed so as to stand across such parking strip and at right angles to the concrete road in said street, and may have all lights extinguished during the time it is standing in such parking strip. In moving out of the parking strip, the driver, operator, or person in charge of such motor car or vehicle shall not cause the same to be backed out, but shall cause the same to go forward and thereupon to move in the direc- tion in which the traffic on that por- tion of such street is moving. Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100). Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its approval.
