An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance
No. fit of the County of Hawaii, en-
titled an Ordinance Regulating idov-
ing Travel and Traffic upon Streets
and Other Public Places in the Coun-
ty of Hawaii and Providing Penalties
and Remedies for Violations Thereof.
Be It Ordained by the Board of Su-
pervisors in and for the County of
Hawaii:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 62 of the
County of Hawaii is hereby amended
by adding a new section to be known
as Section 26A, and to read as fol-
lows:
Section 26A. The headlights of
every motor car, which are so power-
ful as to be blinding to persons trav-
eling towards such lights shall be
equipped with some standard dim-
ming device to be approve by the
Sheriff, his Deputy, or the Examiner
of Chauffeurs. The Sheriff or his
Deputy, or the Examiner of Chauf-
feurs shall examine all dimming de-
vices submitted for examination, and
if found satisfactory shall approve of
the same. He shall issue a certificate
for each dimming device approved by
him, which certificate shall be signed
by him and shall contain the name of
the owner of the motor car on which
said dimming device is to be used,
the make o1 the car, its registratimx
numbers, the character of the dim-
ming device to be used, and the date
on which the certificate is issued.
This Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after the
date of its approval.
