REGULATING TRAF- FIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGHWAYS OF THE COUN- TY OF HAWAH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TAE COUNTS' OF HAWAH: Section 1. Section 27 of Article V is hereby amended by adding there- to at the end thereof a new para- graph to read as follows: d. It shall be unlawfu 1 for any operator to park a vehicle on Haili Street between Kame- hameha and Keawe Streets be- tween the hours of 7:00 A. M. and 11:00 P. M.; except that an onerator may stop temporarily on said Haili Street during the actual loading or unloading oY passengers and or freight. Section 2. Section 29 of Article V is hereby amended by adding there- to at the end thereof a new para- graph to read as follows: c. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to park or leave standing such vehicle on the concrete or paved por- tions of Kilauea Avenue, be- tween Ohea and Haihai Streets; provided, furthcr,,however, that it shall be lawful to park such vehicle in the center and un- paved portions oY said Kilauea Avenue. between Ohea and Haf- hai Streets, parallel with the edge of the roadway. Section 3. Section 37 of Article VI is hereby amended by adding thereto at the end thereof anew paragraph to read as follows: (a). Provided, further. how- ever, that it shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to turn any such vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite di- rection, on Kamehameha Ave- nue, between Shipman and Po- nahawai Streets, between the hours of 7:00 A. M. and 11:00 P. M. of any day. Section 4. Section 64 of Article VII is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 64. Width, Length and Height of Vehicles restrict- ed. No motor or other power vehi- cle operated on a public high- way shall exceed or be more than eight (8) feet in width; and thirteen (13) feet in height; nor have a wheel base longer than two hundred twen- ty (220) inches: and no bed or body of any motor or power vehicle shall extend or overhang p j.r ,._~ .,~ in °the rear from the rear axle of such vehicle, more than a distance equal to flYty -flue (55%) percent of the length; the point of measurement in determining said fifty -flue (55%) percent of the length of the wheel base extension in the rear shall start at the center line of the rear axle housing; provided, however, ttat the re- striction regarding length of the gybed or body of any motor or power vehid.e shall not apply to any such vehicle equipped with a dual rear axle, and that the foregoing provisions of this pa- ragraph shall not apply before the first day of January 1939 to any vehicle lirensed prior to the enactment of this amendment to Ordinance 104; provided fur- ther, that no person, load, freight or any other object shall be carried in or on such vehicle which extends beyond the width and/or height of said vehfcle as provided in this sec- tion. Section 5. That Paragraph num- bered (2) of Section 24, Artic a V, be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 6. Paragraph. (1) of Pa- ragraph (a) of Section 29 oY Arti- cle V is hereby amended to read as follows: (ll The operator oy a vehi- cle shall stand or park at an angle of thirty (30) degrees from the curb within parking lines upon Kamehameha Ave- nue and Ponahawai Streets, excepting only that portion of Kamehameha Avenue, on the makai side oY Kamehameha Avenue from Ponahawai 6treet to Mooheau Lane, designated as a bus station by Sectlon 24 (a) (3), and the Sheriff shall mark or sign or cause to be marked or signed these streets.
