HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1942-127BY AUTHORITY COUNTY OF HAWAII TERRITORY OF HAWAII Ordinance No. 127 An ordinance to amend section 5 of ordinance 126 of the County of Hawaii, providing for DETERMINA- TION OF THE PASSENGER CAR- RYING CAPACITY OF MOTOR VEHICLE COMMON CARRIERS OF PASSENGERS in the County of Hawaii. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: Section 1. Section 5 of Ordinance 126 is hereby amended by repealing the same and in lieu thereof the same to read as follows: "Section 5. SEATING CAPACI- TY TO BE PAINTED ON VEHI- CLE: The seating capacity of each vehicle, except a sedan oper- ated as a taxicab, shall be painted in numerals at least six (6) inches high upon the right exterior of such vehicle, in such place and color as the Examiner of Chauf- feurs shall direct; also the seat- ing capacity of each vehicle shall be indicated in numerals two (2) inches high, painted in the upper right corner of the windshield, such numerals shall be painted on the inside of the windshield in such a manner as to be readily legible from the inside of the vehi- cle." D. 1942, and upon being put to vote said Ordinance was adopted by a ma- jority of the Supervisors at said meeting.
