ORDINANCE NO. 9~
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 (TRAFFIC SCHEDULE), OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-281,
schedule 29 (Parking prohibited during certain hours on certain
streets), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code (1995
edition), is amended by deleting the following item:
[(17) Lehua Street, Puna side, beginning at a
point four hundred sixty-five feet makai
of Wainaku Street and extending forty
feet toward Puueo Street from 7:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays,
and holidays.]
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 6, section 24-287,
schedule 35 (Passenger loading zones), subsection (c) South Hilo, of
the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended by adding the
following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
L~ Lehua Street, Puna side, beginning at a uoint
four hundred sixty-five feet makai of Wainaku
Street and extending forty feet toward Puueo
Street from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 n.m. exceot
Saturdavs, Sundavs, and holidav~.
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material
is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed
material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of
the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
