BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Paragraph A, Sec- t.on 3, oP Ordinance No. 149 of the County of Hawaii is hereby amended 'to read as follows: "SECTION 3. Use Districts: A. In order to regulate and restrict the location oY trades, business, industries, residences and other uses, and the location oY build ings, designed, erected al- tored or occupied for special purposes; to regu- late and limit the height and size of buildings hereafter ereoted, or al- tered; to regulate and determine the area oL yards and other open spaces, and to regulate and limit the density oP the population of the City of Hilo, there shall be the following use dis tricts: 1. Class "A" Residential Distric~s 2. Class "B" Residential Districts 3. Class `C" Residential Districts 4. Class "D" Two Fatuity Dwelling Districts 5. Hotel and Apartment Districts 6. Business Districts 7. Light Industry Districts g. Industrial Districts 9. Noxious Industry Dis- tricts 10. "Al" Agricltural Dis- tricts 11. "AZ" Agricultural Dis- tricts 12. Safety 'Lone Districts SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 199 is hereby amended by adding there- to anew section to be numbered, Sectfon 21-A and to read as fol- lows: "Section 21-A. Safety Zone Districts: The area, within any safe- ty zone district, shall be reserved for public use, pro- vided further that residen- _ t1a1, hotel and apantment, business, light industrial, in- dusW'lal, noxious Industrial, Al agricultural or A2 agri- cultural uses shall not be penmltted." SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force front and after the date of its passage. Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 9th day of August, 1946. Introduced by: (SGD) EDWIN A.
