AN ORDINANCE RELATIiQG TO .THE UNREASONABLE AND EXTRA USE OF HIGHti9AYS.
SE I'P ORDAIb1ED BY THE BOARD OE' :UYEK4i3uRS OF TEiE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to drew, drag,
push or .otherwise transport any lumber or combination of lumber and
other things, say flume, plcvv, harrow, cultivator or other agricul-
tural implement or other machine or part of maciiina upon or across
any public road or highway within the County of I3awaii in such a
manner .that such drawing, dragbirb, pushing or transportation shall
in any manner scratch, mar, excavate or damage 4ny portion of such
road or hi1-,hway .
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any rarson owning, working
upon, driving, propeilinb or in chexoe of any wagon, cart or other
wheeled conveyance to parmit the polo, swinb bar or any portion of,
or any part of the contents of any such cart, wagon or other wheeled
convey-ones, excepting the wheels, to touch, drag or come in contact
with any port~~on of such highway or road ir. such manner as to scratch,
mar or axcavate the road or public highway.
Section 3. Whoever shall violate any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be fined a sum not ezceeding One Hundred Lollars
(~10u.00) in the discretion of the magistrate or Court having juris-
diction thereof.
