Homes Commission land (Panaewa Tract 1);
3. The Hawaiian Homes Commission land (Panaewa Trset 1) from
the Kaumena side of theHewaii Consolidated Railway railroad right-of-way
to the Keaukaha side of the extension oP Kanoelehua Street.

the seashore;
3. The seashore from the Keaukaha and of .line described. in (2J
to the boundary of the U. S. Reservations at seashore;
4. Tha Waiakea boundary of the U. S. Reservations and an
extension of said boundary from the seashore to the mauka side of
Kalanianeole Street;

Puueo boundary of the Hilo Gas Company, Ltd., property and the Keaukaha
boundary of the Hawaii Consolidated Railway railroad right-of-way.
Section 9. Hotel and Apartment Zone 1.
Hotel and Apartment Zone I.ahall contain all of the area bounded by:
1. Aline 125 feet mauka of the mauka aide of Kinoole Street and
parallel to Kinoole Street from the Olea side of Waianuenue Street to
the Puueo aide of Kukuau Street;
2. The Puueo side and mauka side of Kukuau Street Prom a point 125 feet
mauka of the mauka aide of Kinoole Street to a point 125 feet mauka of the
mauka aide of Kepiolani Street;
3. Aline 125 feet mauka of the mauka side of Kepiolani Street and
parallel to Kepiolani Street from the Puueo side of Kukuau Street to the
Olaa side of Haili Street;
4. The Olae aide of Haili Street from s point 125 feet mauka of the
mauka side of Kepiolani Street to the makai aide of Kepiolani Street;
5. Tha mekai aide of Kepiolani Street from the Olae side of Haili

2. Aline from the Hamakua bank of the Wailuku River to a point on
the Olae slde of Amauulu Street, said point being approximately 600 feet
mauka of the mauka side of Weinaku Street;
3. Aline from the Olaa side of Amauulu:Street to an extension of
the Olea boundary of Puueo Park;
4. The Olaa boundary of Puueo Park Prom the line described in (3}
to the makai side of Weinaku Street;
5. The Weipilopilo Stream from the makai aide of Weinaku Street to

distance of approximately 300 feet;

Section 13. Residential Zone A-I
Residential Zone A-I shall contain all of the area bounded by:
1. The Kaumana bank of the Wailuku River Prom the makai aide of
the eatension of Peepee Falls Drive to the mauka side of the extension
of Waiau Street;
2. The mauka side of the extension of Waiau Street and. the mauka
side of Waiau Street Prom the Kaumana bank of the Wailuku River to a
point approximately 400 Peet Kaumana of the Kaumena side of Waianuenue
street;
3. Aline running mauka for approximately 1200 feet from the mauka
side of Waiau Street to the Kaumana side of new Waianuenue Street;
4. The Kaumana aide of new Waianuenue Street from the mauka end of
the line described in (3) to the intersection of the Kaumana side oP new
Waianuenue Street snd old Waianuenue Street;
5. The Kaumana side of old Waianuenue Street from the intersection
mentioned in (4) to the intersection oP the Kaumana aide of .new Waianue-
nue Street and old Waianuenue Street;
6. The Kaumana side of new Waianuenue Street from the intersection

River on the Hamakua side and Waikepu River on the Olae side.
Section 15. Residential Zone A-III.
Restdential Zone A-III shall contain all of the area bounded by:
L The Hotel and Apartment Zone II on the O1&s aide;
2. A line from the Hamakua-mauka corner of Hotel end Apartment
Zone II to a point in the center of Pukihae Stream, said point being

Residential Zone A-IV shall contain all of the area comprising the
aeotion commonly known as "Halaulani Place" which is bounded by Wainaku
Street on the mauka side; Pohakunanaka Stream an the Hamakua side; the sea-
shore on the makai aide; and Pukihae Stream on the Olea side.
Section 17. Residential Zone A-V.
Residential Zone A-V shall contain all of the area bounded by:
1. The Kaumana side of Kinoole Street from the Puueo aide of Mohouli
Street from the Puueo side of Mohouli Street to the makai side of Puainako
Street..
2. The makai side of Puainako Street from the Kaumana aide of Kinoole
Street to the Kaumana boundary oP Lot 12, Waiekea Cana Lease Lots;
3. The Kaumana boundary of Waiekea Cane Lease Lots 12, 13, 14, and 15
from the makai side of Puainako Street to the Olaa side of the eatension of
Lanikaula Strset;
4. The Olaa aide of the extension of Lanikaula Street mauka for epproai-
mately 150 Peet;
5. Aline from the Olae side of the extension of Lanikaula Street to a
point on the Puueo side of the eatension of Mohouli Strset;
6. The Puueo side of the eatension of Mohouli Street and the Puueo side
of Mohouli Strset from the line described in (5) to the Kaumana aide of
Kinoole Street.
Section 18. Residential Zone A-VI.
Residential Zona A-VI shall contain ell of the area bounded by:
1. The Keaukaha Basch Park and its mauka eatension of the Waiekea side
from the mauka side of Kalanienaole Street to the seashore.
2. The seashore and Lihikai Park (Onekahakaha Beach) on the makai aide;
3. The Puna aide of Kemokuna Street and its extensions to a point 250
feet mauka of the mauka side of Kalanienaole Street;

4. Aline 250 feet mauka of the mauka side of Kalanienaole Street
and parallel to Kalanienaole Street from the point described in (3) to the
Puna boundary of Hawaiian Homes Comrniasion land (Keaukaha Tract);
5. The Puna boundary of Hawaiian Homes Commission lend (Keaukaha
Tract) makai for approximately 250 feet to the Puna-makai corner of
Hawaiian Homes Commission land (Keaukaha Tract) on the mauka aide of
Kalanienaole Street;
6. The mauka aide of Kalanienaole Street from the.Puna-makai corner
of Hawaiian Homes Commission land (Keaukaha Tract) to the Keaukaha Beach

Section 19. Residential Zone A-VII.
Residential Zone A-VII shall contain all of the area comprising the
section known as "Lehia Park Residence Lota" at Keaukaha, and extending
from the former Seaside Club to Puumaile Hospital.
Section 20. Residential Zone B-I.
Residential Zone B-I shell contain all of the a rea bound®d by:

Residential Zone D shall contain all of the area bounded by:

Wailoa Straet to the Puueo side of Hualalei Street;
2, The Puueo side of Hualalei Street from the makei aide of Kinoole
Street to a point 125 feet mauka of the mauka aide of Kilauea Street;
3. Aline 125 feet mauka oP the mauka side of Kilauea Street and
parallel to Kilauea Street Prom the Puueo side of Hualalei Street to the
Olga side of proposed Wailoa Street;
4. The Olga side of proposed Wailoa Street Prom a point 125 feat
mauka of the mauka side of Kilauea Street to the makei side oP Kinoole
Street.
Section 24. Agricultural Zone I.
Agricultural Zone I shell contain all of the area approximately
1200 feet from and on the Puna side of Kilauea Street being approaimately
1000 feet in width and running Prom the extension of the Olaa side of
Kahaopea Street to a line approximately 1000 Pest Olae of the makei aide
of Palai Street.
Section 25. Agricultural Zone II.

Agricultural Zone II shall contain all those portions of the City of
Hilo, which are not set aside for other use districts.
Section 2B. Safety Zone I. The Safety Zone I shall contain all of
the area bounded by:
1. The makai side of Kamehameha Avenue from the Olea bank of the
Wailuku River to the intersection of said makai side of Kamehameha Avenua
and the Puueo bank of the Wailoe River;
2. Along the Puueo bank of the Wailoe River to the mouth of the
Wailoe River;
3. Along the bay shore from the mouth of the Wailoe River to the
mouth oP the Wailuku River.
4. Along the Olae bank of the Wailuku River from the mouth of the
river to the point of beginning.
Section 27. Set-back Lines.
Sat-back lines for planting purpose end to limit the eatent to which
bu*lldings may be constructed is hereby created in the following zones:
1. There shall be a set-back line of 50 Peet along the boundaries
of Industrial Zone I, mauka of Kamehameha Avenue, to limit the eatent to
which buildings may be constructed, eacepting the Keaukaha boundaries of
same;
2. Honolulu Zron Works (Hilo Branch) and adjacent area on the
Puueo aide. There shall be a set-back line of 10 Peet or more along the
makai bank of the Wailoe Riv er for planting purpose, from the mauka aide
of Kamehameha Avenue to the Keaukaha side of Emma Street;
3. Light Industrial Zone I. There shall be a set-back line of 10
Peet or more along the makai bank of the Wailoe Rivar for planting purpose,
from the Keaukaha aide of Emma Street to the Kaumana side of Keelikolani
Street;
4. Industrial Zone II. There shall be a set_baek line of 50 feet
along the boundaries of Industrial Zone II to limit the eatent to which
buildings may be constructed.
Section 28. The foregoing zones ere set forth on the Zone Map, pre-
pared by and kept in custody of the Planning and Traffic Commission for
the City of. Hilo and County of Hawaii, and the same shall be deemed the
"oi'ficiel Zone Map."
