Section 1. All motor vehicles, the property of the County of
Hawaii, shall bear on either side thereof the following inscription:
"FOx ONE ICI AL USE ONLY"
And following and underneath said inscription shall be the words
"COUNTY OF HtiutiAII" on all such vehicles owned and controlled by the
County of Hawaii.
Section 2. The letters of such words as are in this Ordinance
contemplated shall be painted on all such vehicles in characters of
plain, bold size, not less than three (3) inches in heie3ht and
proportionate width.
Section 3. It shall be unlawful for tiny person to use, drive,
propel or operate any County owned motor vehicle in the County of
Hawaii, except in the actual service and during legal working hours
of the County; provided, however, this Ordinance sYiall not apply in
case of public emergency and necessity whenever the business of the
County requires use and operation of motor vehicles for a longer
period, and to automobiles and Pire-fighting apparatus of the Fire
Department of the said County.
Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not less than X5.00 and not
more than :~500.U0.
