AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE WITH RADIO RECEPTION
AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION TEiE`REOF. '

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD~OF SUPEi2VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: ~ ,
Section 1~.• That itrahall be..~lpwful for any person, firm,
co-partnership or corporation knmwing~y or wantonly to operate or
cause to be operated,.. any machine, device, apparatus or instrument

of any kiad whatsoever within the. County of Hawaii between the hours

of~ 6 A. M..;and 12 P. M.,;_ the operation of which, shall cause reasonably ~
preventable electric"al interference with radio reception within the

County*of Hawaii: PROVIDED,. HOWEVER, that X-ray pictures, examine-

tions or treatments may be made at anytime if the machines or ~
apparatus used therefor, are properly equipped to avoid all unnecessary
or reasonabl{! prev~ntab~.+e;'interference with radio reception and are

not negligently operated. • -
Section 2. That this Ordinanc8 shall nqt be held or construed
• to embrace or cover the regulation of any transmitting, broadcasting
or receiving instrument, apparatus or device used or useful in
interstate commerce or the operaCion of which instrument, apparatus 1,
or device is licensed or authorized by or under the provisions of
' any set. of the Congre®s of the United Staten. ,,

Section 3. That any .person, firm, co-partnership or corporation
viohating the prMy'isi.ons of this Ordinane@ shall be deemed guil$y of

a Misdemeanor, end upon congiction thereof shall be punished by a
fine of ngt.mgre. than One Hundred Dollars. Each day shall constitute
separate offense during which such violation continues..
