GOMES From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated February 14, 1997, submitting for confirmation the following reappointment to the Hawaii County Fire Board of Appeals: Mr. Joseph A. Gomes, owner/manager of the Joe Gomes Ranch since 1971. He is a lifetime resident of Hawaii and has no political party affiliation. If confirmed, Mr. Gomes will succeed himself and will serve a term to end December 31, 2001. Takahashi, dated February 5, 1997, transmitting the above bill. The new grant was received from the Department of Health and Human Services. Comm. 199: AMENDMENT TO THE OPERATING BUDGET - APPROPRIATION OF (Bill 44) ADDITIONAL $42,429 TO THE VICTIMS OF CRIME ACT (FEDERAL) GRANT From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated February 5, 1997, transmitting the above bill. The Victims of Crime Act grant was budgeted for $115,000 in 1996-97. Comm. 166: ORDINANCE BILL REVISING THE COUNTY SEWER CODE (Bill 49) REGARDING WASTEWATER SERVICE CHARGE RATES From Chief Engineer Donna Fay K. Kiyosaki, dated February 19, 1997, transmitting the above bill. Also includes a summary sheet showing the rate assumptions and projected revenues for the proposed rates.
