ORDINANCE N0. 9 6
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 11 OF THE RE-
VISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1947, BY
AMENDING SECTION 22 THEREOF, AND BY ADDING A NEW
SECTION N[AU3ERED 23-A, RELATING Ta THE ESTABLISH-
MENT OF LAND USE IN THE CITY OF HILO.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII:
Section 1. Section 22 of Ordinance No. 11 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of the County of Hawaii 1947 is hereby amended by adding to the
end thereof, the following:
"provided, however, from the above-described area, the fol-
lowing parcel of land is excepted:
All of the area bounded by:
Beginning at a point at the North corner of this par-
cel oY land and on the South side of the proposed ex-
tension of Hualalai Street, the coordinates of said
point of beginning referred to Government Survey Trian-
gulation Station "Halm" being 1201.06 feet South and
3679.83 feet East, and running by azimuths measured
clockwise from true South:
1. 329° ~' S75.o1 feet;
2. 238° lo' ?35.18 feet;
3. 330° 38' 608.68 feet;
4. 58° 10' 1665.61 feet;
5. 148° 10~ 998.74 feet;
6. 270° 29' 30" 299.56 feet;
7. 231° 17' 560.00 feet;
8. 169° 02' 296.88 feet;
9. 238° 10' 50.15 feet to the point of begin-
ning and containing an area
of 30.275 acres."
Section 2: Ordinance No. 11 of the Revised Ordinances of the
County of Hawaii 1947 is hereby amended by inserting a new section n~-
tiered 23-:'1, after Section 23, to read as follows:
"Section 23r.. Residential Zone D-I. Residential Zone D-I
shall contain all of the area boarded bv:
point of begiiuiing referred to Government Survey Trian-
gulation Station "Halm"' being 1201.06 feet South and
3679.83 feet East, and running by azimuths measured
clockwise from true South:
1. 329° 00' 575.01 feet;
z. 238° lo' 735.1.8 feet;
3. 330° 38~ 608.68 feet;
4. 58° l0' 1665.61 feet;
5. 148° l0' 998.74 feet;
6. 270° 29' 30" 299.56 feet;
7. z31° 17' S~•~ feet;
8. 169° 02' 296.88 feet;
9. 238° 10' 50.15 feet to the point of begin-
ning and containing an area
of 30.275 acres."
Section 3. 'Phis ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

1950, the Planning and Traffic Coamission of the City of Hilo and County
of Hawaii, pursuant to subsection (c) of Section 5 of Ordinance No. 44 of
the Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 19k7, after the required
public hearing notice of rich was given, approved a resolution entitled:
"A Resolution of the Planning and Traffic Coumussion Creating Residential
Zone D-I, A Two Farat~p Dwelling District, at the Hawaii Housing Authority's
Lanakila Homes Low-Income Housing Project Site."
