AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20, 3$, 49, and 97 OF ORDINANCE
NO. $9 OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1950 PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION
OF TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STR~ETS AID HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII:
That Ordinance No. $9 of the County of Hawaii 1950 is
hereby amended in the following respects:
Section 1. Section 20 is hereby amended by amending
Subsection (f) to read as follows:
"(f) Punahoa Street from Mamo Street to
Ponahawai Street."
Section 2. Section 21 is hereby amended:
(a) By changing Paragraph 3 of Subsection (b) to
read as follows:
"3. The mauka side of Kinoole Street, from
Waianuenue Street to Wailuku Drive."
(b) By adding Subsection (c) after Subsection (b)
to read as follows:
"(c) Ten minute parking areas:
1. The makai side of Kinoole Street,
from Waianuenue Street to Wailuku der j

Section 3. Section 3$, Subsection (a), is hereby
amended to read as follows:
'~(a) At the intersection of any street or highway
except when the vehicle being overtaken is
making or about to make a right turn."
Section 4. Section 49 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 49. Limitations on backing. It shall be
unlawful for the driver of a vehicle to back the
same into an intersection or over a crosswalk."

Section 5. Section 97, Subsection (b), shall be amended
to read as follows:
"(b) No funeral procession, or parade that impedes
the normal flow of traffic excepting the forces of
the United States Army or Navy, the military forces
of this Territory, and the forces of the police
and fire departments, shall occupy, march, or proceed
along any street except in accordance with a permit
issued by the chief of police and such other regu-
lations as are set forth herein which may apply."
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its approval.
