AN ORDINANCE TO A1~1END ORDINANCE N0. 121 OF THE COUPJTY OF
HAWAII, RELATING TO PARKING D~ TERS BY AP4ENDING SECTION 8
PERTAINING TO PARKING METER FEES - USE OF FUND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII:
That Ordinance No. 121 of the County of Hawaii, as amended,
is hereby further amended in the following respect:
Section 1. Section 8 is hereby amended to read as
follows
"The coins required to be deposited in parking
meters as provided herein are hereby levied and
assessed as fees to provide for the purchase, rental,
acquisition, supervision, collection, use, protection,
inspection, installation, operation, maintenance,
control and regulation of parking meters of off street
parking spaces, of the parking of vehicles, and of
other facilities and properties incidental to the
regulation and control of traffic and in promoting
the safety and well being of the public in handling of
traffic upon the streets."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
