HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1954-148COUNTY OF HAWAII - 'TERRITORY OF HAVJA.II ORDINANCE NO, -- AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHING OF A BUS TERPdINAL FCR COUNTRY BUSES AND PROVIDING FCR A RETdTAL FEE FOR THE USE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAVJAI I: Section 1. There is hereby set aside the VJaiakea-makai portion of the Bay Front Parking Area for the purpose of a bus terminal for country buses. Section 2. The Bus Control Committee shall make such rules and regulations for the parking of said buses as it deems necessary for the carrying out of the purpose of this ordinance. Section 3. The Bus Control Committee shall collect from the owner of each bus parking in said area the sum of EIGHT DOLLARS ($8.00) per month. Section 4. All monies collected by the Bus Control Corn:nittee shall be deposited in the Bus Control Fund. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval. Subsection G, Section 9 of Ordinance \o. 58, as amended by Ordinance No, 85, is hereby further amended to read as follows: "G, Water. Any subdivision hereafter to be laid out within the County of Hawaii shall be provided with water as follows: 1. bherever the public water system and supply are adequate both in size, volume, and pressure, and the proposed subdivision is within 1,000 feet from a public water main, the subdivider shall provide means for supplying water for wth fire protection and domestic purposes within the subdivision. 2, Wherever the public water system and suiply are adequate in size, volume, and pressure for only domestic purpose, and the proposed subdivision is within 1,500 feet from the public main, the subdivider shall provide means for supplying water for domestic purpose within the subdi- vision. 3. Water mains and fire hydrants shall be installed to and within the sui~division in accordance with the rules and regulations of the isoard of .+'ater Sapply, enacted in conformity with Act 86, Session Laws of Hawaii 1949, as amended. 4, The standard minimum size of mains and spacing of fire .hydrants where fire protection is required shall. ire as follows: a, Size of mains. The subdivider shall install eight- inch or larger water mains for any subdivision in- tended for business, industrial, hotel or apartment uses, and six-inch or larger mains for any residen- tial use. i,, Hydrant spacing. Fire hydrants shall be spaced not more than 300 feet apart for any subdivision intended for Business, industrial, hotel or apartment uses, and not more than 600 feet apart for any residential 9 use.
