Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance P';o, 6t,. is hereby
amended to read as follows:
''Section 2. DISAST3R Dr FIN 3D:
D^CLARATION OF 'fi1sRGNCY. A disastar is a situation,
usually catastrophic in nature, where numbers of persons
are plunged into helplessness and suffering and, as a result,
may be in need of food, clothing, sh^lter, medical care and
other basic necessities of life. 'oVhen five (5) or more
families are so aff~;cted b~~ such a situation, the Chairman
and 3xecutive Officer of the County of Hawaii mev declare
an emergency to exist.
Section ?. This Grdinance shall take effect upon
its approval.
