AN ~tDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 18, 21, AND 61 OF ORDINANCE N0. 147 OF
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1954 PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION OF TRAFFIC UPON
THE PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGH~'JAYS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISGRS IN AIvT) FOR THE COUN"PY OF
HAWAII:
That Ordinance No. 147 of the County of Hawaii 1954 is hereby
amended in the following respects:
Section 1. Paragraph 9, Subsection (a) of Section 18 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"9. '+'Jithin seventy-five feet upon the approach to any
traffic control signal except where designated by
a parking stall."
Section 2. Section 21, as amended, is hereby further amended by
adding Subsections (cc), (dd), and (ee) to read as follows:
"(cc). The i'daipio side of Kika Street in Honokaa.
(dd). The makai side of Koa Street in Honokaa.
(ee). The mauka side of b".arcane Street in Honokaa for a
distance of 600 feet 6"Jaipio from Culvert 230-c."
Section 3. Subsection (c) of Section 61 is hereby amended in the
following respects:
(a) By amending Paragraph 43 to read as follows:
"43. MA1w?ALAHOA HIGH'JTAY, from the 4-mile Bridge by way of
Puna, to the Honolii Gulch, except where it intersects
the following:
a. Kanoelehua Cutoff Road.
b. D€amane Street in Honokaa.
c. The Hawaii Belt Road.
d. Kahuku Camp Cutoff Road.
e. Honohina Village Cutoff Road.
f. Honomu Village Cutoff Road."
(b) By adding Paragraph 73 to read as follows:
"73. Kuawa Street from Manono Street to Kanoelehua Street."
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

OF HAWAII:
That Ordinance No. 147 of the County of Hawaii 1954, as amended,
is hereby further amended in the following respect:
Section 1. Section 71.01 is hereby added after Section
71 to read as follows:
"Section 71.01. Speed of Jeeps restricted. No person ~~`~
shall operate aone-quarter ton 4 x 4 utility truck,
commonly referred to as a jeep, upon any highway at a E~
greater speed than thirty-five miles per hour." '
Section 2. Phis ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
