AN ORDINANCE APn;NDING ORDINANCE N0. 54 OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII ~'STABLISHING A RATE FOR THE SALE OF C~T~T.ERY PLOTS
OWNED BY THF. COUNTS-OF HAWAII.
BE IT ORDAINs'D BY THE BOARD OF SUP.,RVISORS OF THE' COUNTY
OF HAWAII.
Section 1. Ordinance No. 5~. of the County of Hawaii
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. Fee to be charged. For each County owned.
cemetery plot sold at the Alae Cemetery in the City of Hilo,
the Chief Engineer of the County of Hawaii shall collect a
fee of X35.00, which shall be exclusive of the cost of
digging and covering the plot. Each cemetery plot shall
not er~eed nine (9) feet in length and four (4) feet in width.
Section 2. Creation of cemetery fund. The monies
collected under Section 1 aforesaid shall be deposited with
the Treasurer of the County of Hawaii in a cemetery fund
which is hereby created. All monies deposited in the
cemetery fund are hereby set aside and shall be expended
for the improvement, maintenance and upkeep of Alae Cemetery."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
